The day to leave for Maui finally came. Our flight left from Bush intercontinental at 11:25. As we were waiting for our flight we heard them announce that there were several business first class seats available for discounted prices if anyone was interested. We eyed each other as they announced it, but figured it was still out of our price range. About 15 minutes later, they made another announcement about the business first class seats. Out of curiosity, Kody decided to go and check to see how much those tickets would be. Surprisingly enough they were really, really cheap. So we decided to take advantage of the cheap price and fly business first class to Hawaii! It was amazing! We flew to Oahu where we had to catch a connecting flight to Maui. The flight to Maui only took about 30 minutes. After we arrived in Maui, we got our luggage and took a shuttle to get our rental car. We finally arrived at our hotel, The Royal Lahaina Resort, and got checked in. The hotel grounds were beautiful and the hotel room was very nice. We were so tired considering the five-hour time change from home, but we wanted to go check out the beach. So we headed out to the beach to look around. Then we ate dinner, our second dinner may I add. We ate our first dinner on the plane which was 7:00 Houston time, but only 2:00 Maui time, so we ate again around 7:00 Maui time. We finally called it a day and went to bed around 8:00 Maui time. We were exhausted!!
